Role

The Demand Planner will manage seasonal demand forecast that delivers US channels revenue goals, optimize inventory investment and improve overall supply chain efficiency. The Demand Planner will analyze historical trends for recommending demand forecasts to cross-functional partners. The Demand Planner will need to build partnerships with sales, merchandising, finance and customer service to drive decision-making across the development and sales processes. The Demand Planner will own planning core and carry over styles sales and inventory for the US. This individual will perform data analysis needed for various projects and facilitate meetings as required to support shipment forecast, supply and demand review, and additional cross-functional meetings.


What Will You Be Doing?

  • Build and maintain seasonal demand forecast files, ensure buys align with financial targets and are within the total US inventory plan
  • Maintain and manage monthly total US inventory forecast plan incorporating retail/DTC sales, inventory plans, wholesale shipment sales and warehouse stock
  • Manage core and carryover style inventory, forecast US sales and stock by month, communicate orders to production by season/quarter and recommend style edits or additions to core program
  • Prepare seasonal order bookings compared to original demand forecasted by channel and provide feedback to commercial sales teams on possible purchase order adjustments or reorders to meet demand
  • Prepare historical seasonal performance metrics for review with Merchandising and sales to help develop future seasonal line plans
  • Attend weekly cross-functional meetings to review product pipeline and provide demand relevant input into development milestones, such as historical demand by style, product readiness due dates, and financial implications of delays on revenue
  • Partner with Supply Planning and Production Planning on buy timelines, calendar, and communication of due dates to sales teams
  • Prepare and review with the Corporate Inventory Officer, the monthly future purchase order file by style with corresponding sales orders and plans by channel for consuming any resulting ATS (available to sell stock)
  • Partner with Production Planning, Finance and warehouse team on various projects including price changes on current inventory, sales order recommendations by channel if oversold and confirming seasonal style set up is completed in the enterprise system
  • Assist VP of Planning & Buying and Supply Analyst with analysis projects, reporting and process improvements


What Do You Need To Bring?

  • 3-5+ Years of Related Professional Experience
  • Relevant work experience in forecasting and planning with an understanding of all phases of product development planning and production as well as effects on supply chain
  • Expert Excel skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
  • Must have excellent communication and ability to work with a team
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents and make sound decisions and recommendation
