Job Summary:
The receptionist will be the "face" of the company for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression we make. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. A patient-oriented approach is essential. Our goal is to make all patients and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Keep the front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper etc.)
Greet and welcome patients
Answer questions and address complaints
Answer incoming calls and redirect them or keep messages
Keep updated records and files
Supervise patients as they come in for their appointments while waiting
Abide by HIPAA and PHI privacy and security rules and regulations at all times
Knowledgeable of Alcohol and Drug addiction
Ability to relate well to a diverse group of people including staff, patients, the public,
professional agencies, and outside organizations
To perform related work that is assigned by any supervisor
Must conduct yourself in an ethically appropriate manner, keeping in mind the importance of
patients and staff boundaries
Ability to compile and enter information as required by the Supervisor
Must maintain STRICT CONFIDENTIALITY of all records and information
Must complete mandated courses within specified timeframe as a condition of employment
Take up other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proven experience in a customer service position
Reliable transportation
Familiar with office machines
Proficient in English (oral and written)
Knowledge of Computer programs i.e. MS Office (word and excel)
Strong communication and people skills
Good organizational and multitasking abilities
Problem-solving skills
Must have experience with culturally diverse groups
