Position Summary:

The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the day of show operations within the Food & Beverage Department w/ a focus on performances and hospitality services. This individual represents the team with various department & tour personnel as well as patrons. They manage food and beverage staff during designated performances.


This is a show-based role and this individual will be required to work primarily nights and weekends.


This position, along with all others at O-pa must uphold the core values of Team, Inclusion, Trust and Integrity.


Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages daily bar operations, including opening and closing duties.
  • Ensures consistency in beverage preparation and presentation.
  • Handles customer inquiries, comments, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Provides ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members.
  • Maintains inventory levels and provide regular reports on product quantities.
  • Completes merchandise settlement process w/ tour point of contact and send reports in a timely manner.
  • Receives hospitality and catering orders and coordinate service with tour personnel.
  • Ensures high-quality food preparation utilizing HACCP guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintains a sanitary environment and coordinates food area breakdown and cleanup.
  • Trains and develops other employees in the areas of food quality, presentation, safety, and customer service.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience operating a successful restaurant, bar, or venue.
  • Must possess superior interpersonal and customer service skills, leading the Food Services & Catering Department to the highest standards.
  • Knowledge and implementation of local, state, and federal labor law regulations.
  • Effectively communicates with employees, patrons, and all levels of management.
  • Is detail-oriented and can multi-task, work independently with minimal to no direction.
  • ServSafe certified or ability to become ServSafe certified.

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to move about 7.5hours/day excluding breaks.
  • Able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak hours.
  • Must be able to load and push a cart a short distance.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends.
