JOB SUMMARY

The Customer Business Manager, Multi-Channel is a key role within the Blistex Canadian business that owns and delivers the sales strategy and execution for all Canada broker customers and is accountable to deliver territory volume, net sales, distribution targets and goals.

The position requires energetic leadership, pro-active planning, and very strong communication specific to managing the broker and customer network. Results will be accomplished by achieving sales objectives, managing the activities and performance of the specified brokers and accounts. These activities will include the broker execution of sales/account reporting, merchandising, and the support of Blistex strategic objectives. These activities will be achieved while operating within approved budgets and established guidelines.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. The Customer Business Manager, Multi-Channel is accountable for leading and managing the territory sales effort to deliver volume targets, net sales, and strategic objectives across the Broker and Customer network in Canada.
  2. Accountable for developing and executing customer strategies and sales plans to deliver volume, net sales, and distribution targets.
  3. Responsible for providing the Director of Sales with timely and accurate periodic sales reports which summarize period performance.
  4. The Customer Business Manager, Multi-Channel provides detailed sales forecasts to support demand planning and business plan reviews.
  5. Accountable for leading the broker network with proactive planning, including appropriate analytical data as supports market conditions, while ensuring optimum broker communication and broker conformity to the Blistex planning process and business needs.
  6. Supports and takes the lead in the deduction clearance process for all Canadian broker customers and keeps deductions and trade spend estimates current as per Blistex targets.
  7. Possesses and actively works to develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Canadian retail environment both regionally and nationally, and successfully manages the issues associated with national versus regional accounts.
  8. Thoroughly understands the key accounts and establishes a visible presence with the key customer decision makers to establish communication channels for opportunity identification, issue resolution or supplier preference.
  9. Primary Canadian broker contact for the Blistex customer service team in managing customer logistics, customer resolution, allocation, inventory transition, fines, and carrier issues.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  1. 4-year University Business degree in Marketing/Bus Admin (BBA, BComm)
  2. The knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired in 5+ years of Marketing/Sales experience including Account/Broker management sales experience within a CPG National environment.
  3. Must be a quick study, and understand share, volume, forecasting, and branded selling. Must have demonstrated the ability to produce professional fact-based presentation content.
  4. Must have assumed increased levels of responsibility and be interested in continuing to develop.
  5. Strong analytical ability to gather, format, analyze, and present data that draws conclusions and produces favorable outcomes (distribution and promotions) to drive category growth at Retailers.
  6. Strong math aptitude to perform needed calculations in tabulating and analyzing required data.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills required to interact with Blistex and Broker? personnel.
  8. Must be computer proficient in a Windows environment (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  9. Good written communication skills (composition, clarity, grammar).
  10. Good organizational ability, able to effectively work independently and with a team.
  11. Ability to routinely meet deadlines on a multitude of concurrent time-sensitive tasks.
  12. Willingness to accept other duties, as assigned, with a growth mindset.
