DuraServ’s continued double-digit growth necessitates a strong professional Safety & Maintenance Specialist supporting our Proprietary Brands. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will lead the Safety function supporting plant/facility maintenance planning (Preventative & Predictive), and safely executing repairs.

The Safety and Maintenance Coordinator will support the strategic and tactical focus around critical safety programs and initiatives within the division and organization. A change agent for process, system improvement, and technology integration; and developing and administering policies and procedures, for DuraFlex, Support and championing DuraFlex Culture and Values.


Essential Functions

  1. Assists in ensuring compliance with all safe work practices, regulatory stands (EPA, DOT, OSHA, etc.), and plant policies and procedures.
  2. Provide regulatory and technical process support to existing and new equipment to include LOTO, JSA’s
  3. Drives and conducts training for all EHS&S activities at the site, including development, implementation, and documentation as defined by the compliance schedule by various means - in-person, computer-based training, and group sessions. Etc.
  4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory inspections as they pertain to the sites and audits to identify potential safety/regulatory risks & lead mitigation.
  5. Under limited supervision, set up, adjust, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality.
  6. Develop an AM & PM schedule for production equipment and facilities and perform preventative maintenance to ensure uptime
  7. Provide support to the engineering team with recommendations for capital appropriations and project completion.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • In Office / Warehouse / Manufacturing / Plant setting
  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting along with repetitive movements throughout the entire shift

Travel

  • This job requires 10% planned business travel.

Education and Experience

  • High School graduation or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • A Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in troubleshooting and performing repairs (AM & PM) to production and facilities equipment.
  • Experience leading/driving safety in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficiency in CAD software is a plus.
  • An initiative-taking, multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic.
