Job Summary
Schaeffler, a leading global technology company, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Apprentice - Mechanical Maintenance. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rotate through various departments to complete 8000 hours of on-the-job training and successfully complete related classroom instruction specific to the trade.
- Work closely with experienced mechanics to conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of buildings, machinery, and equipment.
- Complete work-orders in a timely and efficient manner under the supervision of a journeyperson, attend classes as required for apprenticeship, and troubleshoot equipment.
- Requires a highly motivated individual who is willing to learn and apply acquired skills.
- Overtime, weekend, and holiday work hours are required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical (and electrical) aptitude and knowledge.
- Hands-on learner.
- Enthusiastic about their career in skilled trades.
- Excellent communication ability (written & verbal).
- Positive work ethic.
- Problem-solving skills.
