Our client is looking for a skilled Technical Writer to contribute to the creation of comprehensive and precise documentation for their medical device hardware and software products.
The Technical Writer will be responsible for producing clear and accurate documentation related to medical devices. This role involves creating design verification protocols, reports, release notes, and various other documents to support the development of software and release of both hardware and firmware components. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the software, hardware, and firmware teams to ensure that all documentation meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain documentation related to design verification protocols and reports, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in accordance with industry standards.
- Develop detailed release notes for software and hardware updates, including new features, bug fixes, and improvements.
- Produce clear, concise documentation for medical devices, including user manuals, technical specifications, and regulatory submissions.
- Work closely with the hardware and firmware teams to gather information, verify technical details, and ensure documentation aligns with product development.
- Prepare and present reports on documentation progress, quality, and any issues that need addressing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field preferred. Other relevant degrees or equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in technical writing, with a background in creating documentation for both software and hardware. Experience with medical devices is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with design verification protocols and experience in documenting both hardware and firmware components.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
