About the Role:

What you’ll do: As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be part of the frontline team that identifies and validates the fit of prospects’ cybersecurity and risk issues to our solutions. It’s like cybersecurity matchmaking. You want them to swipe right. Your role is to create a trusted relationship to ensure the client keeps Pondurance top of mind for future discussions.

What we’ll do: We will support your development in understanding the relevant cybersecurity technology landscape through industry research and competitive selling. You will learn go-to-market strategy by collaborating with our Account Executives and channel partners to generate business opportunities. We will help you be successful, especially our awesome Sr. BDR Manager. Like all our leaders, he is invested in you and will help mentor you along the way

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior, mid-market and enterprise account executives to develop opportunities from marketing initiatives and personal outreach
  • Expand B2B sales through interactions with VP and C-Level decision makers
  • Prospect and qualify inbound and outbound leads via phone, email, LinkedIn, other social platforms and sources
  • Work with leadership on territory and vertical market development
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to strategize and team on account penetration
  • Collaborate with the Demand Generation team to reach out to qualified leads
  • Collaborate and share sales and outreach best practices from team trainings and personal experience with colleagues 
  • Achieve and manage your performance goals and activities
  • Be the expert in your territory understanding key players, opportunities, market trends and challenges

Technologies: 

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce
  • Sales Engagement systems such as Outreach
  • Sales Intelligence platforms such as ZoomInfo
  • Account-Based Marketing platforms such as 6Sense

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Sense of Initiative: Act independently. Anticipate needs, take advantage of opportunities and flag problems in order to attain objectives.
  • Resilience: Able to bounce back from failure and continue performing effectively in the face of adversity, criticism or rejection.
  • Results-driven: Prioritize achievement of results over other needs, by investing the necessary resources and making all necessary efforts to meet desired goals.
  • Flexibility: Operate efficiently in constantly evolving environments and, when confronted with unforeseen circumstances, readjust priorities to accommodate change.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate ease in presenting ideas and doing so in a dynamic manner with a communication style that facilitates open exchange and is adapted to both audience and context.
  • Experience in business or sales development role, esp. in the cybersecurity space, is preferred.
