Position Overview

The Onsite Support Technician - Level 1 provides hardware, software, and network support for Avidex products. This role involves working with Level 2 and Level 3 Support Technicians to troubleshoot and repair systems and equipment, including computers, servers, and hardware.

Daily tasks include monitoring the IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) dashboard and other Avidex products. The technician assists with the use of the Interactive platform, encompassing both patient education and entertainment products. They inform patients about the various elements of the system, enabling them to navigate and utilize it independently. The role also focuses on developing and maintaining strong customer relationships by responding to customers within required response times, keeping them informed of the resolution path, and verifying the complete resolution of reported issues.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows and Apple software.
  • The physical demands of the job require the ability to lift 30-40 pounds
  • Should possess a mechanical ability to use tools like screwdrivers and drills
  • Must be patient and an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, to work with non-technical people
  • Must also be comfortable working independently and maintain a professional appearance because you'll be working at a client site.
  • Should be organized, proactive, and a good problem-solver with a "Can Do” attitude who can manage multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Must be bondable, highly trustworthy and dependable, have proven detail skills and superior work habits
  • Must be available to work 8AM-8PM Thursdays to Sunday including holidays
  • This is a Regular Part-Time role so there is a normal schedule but may require some flexibility to occasional changes in the schedule with short notice, including holidays and weekends.


Responsibilities

  • Provide client support for meetings and conferences, including setup, tear-down, and operation of AV equipment.
  • Coordinate AV resources for client meetings and conferences, including planning for large events and handling last-minute requests.
  • Perform diagnostic troubleshooting, testing, repair, and adjustment of integrated AV/IT systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve control system issues with remote support.
  • Provide detailed documentation of system repair status.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance.
  • Review open tickets and customer support history with relevant staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Submit support reports, timesheets, expense reports, and parts lists promptly and accurately.
  • Adhere to OSHA safety standards and management requirements.
  • Attend site and department safety and coordination meetings as required.
  • Participate in training classes and maintain certifications as required by management.
