Human Touch Home Health Care is seeking for a Real Estate Bookkeeper to join our team. The Real Estate Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the company's real estate operations. This role involves tracking and recording transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. The bookkeeper will work closely with property managers, real estate agents, and financial advisors to ensure the smooth operation of financial activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record and categorize financial transactions related to property acquisitions, sales, leases, and management.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Track and manage rent payments, security deposits, and operating expenses. Ensure timely and accurate processing of tenant billing and payments.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Process and manage invoices for property maintenance, repairs, and other operational expenses. Ensure timely payment to vendors and service providers.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for properties and projects.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for tax purposes, including income and expense records. Assist with tax filings and compliance.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all financial transactions and documents, both physical and digital.
  • Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Utilize accounting software and real estate management systems to perform bookkeeping tasks. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in the system.
  • Liaise with property managers, real estate agents, and clients regarding financial matters. Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the real estate industry. Familiarity with real estate transactions and property management is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and real estate management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Certification as a bookkeeper (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) or similar qualification can be advantageous.

Salary: Based on experience
