Job Description: The Business Account Manager will work closely with the Director of Support and Giving, Director of Marketing and Communications, and Development Manager to direct the organization’s marketing and sales policies, objectives and initiatives. Develops and oversees the business accounts and fundraising functions, ensuring the department employees, sales plan, and marketing strategies are organized to achieve sales and brand goals. Leads departmental initiatives to develop goals and new strategic plans to achieve them. Spearheads development efforts and ensures the organization has the resources needed to offer long-term, quality mentoring to veterans as the establishment continues to grow.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and facilitate personal donor visits to cultivate positive and purposeful relationships.

• Establish and implement the infrastructure needed to support PTSDUSA mission through the solicitation of major gifts, special events, corporate and foundation support.

• Develop annual goals, objectives, and plan for donor recognition, retention, and increased giving.

• Expand and diversify donor contributions, working closely with team members to identify funding for new initiatives and ensure deep understanding of opportunities to engage major philanthropists.

• Oversee pledge tracking, gift fulfillment, creation of and adherence to donor agreements.

• Ensure accurate maintenance of donor records and information utilizing CRM and other systems.

• Work with the finance department to reconcile gifts received and maintain detailed records of event revenues, expenses, and budgets.

• Research funding sources and trends, with foresight, to position PTSDUSA ahead of major funding changes or trends.

• Be present at major milestones of our calendar year (including some nights and weekends). Collaboration with our community and staff, making all participants feel connected, will be an essential part of your success.

• Develop Sales Targets and track KPIs.

• Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.

• Supervise and develop staff.

• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements: Business Account Manager should have the following skills, education, and experience:

• Bachelor's degree preferred from a four-year accredited university or college; advanced degree preferred

• 2-3 years major gift fundraising experience within a non-profit organization.

• Proven track record of successful direct major gift solicitations.

• Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to build deep and lasting relationships over time.

• 6+ years of leadership/supervisory/management experience.

• 4-5 years of sales and business development experience.

• Competency in Microsoft (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word), SharePoint & Donor Perfect

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient with correspondence, proposals, and creative solicitation materials.

• Metrics and data analytics driven.

• Strong collaboration and team building.

• Have a high degree of integrity while working with sensitive and confidential matters.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds if needed.

• Regularly requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

• Hearing and vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately.

• Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities.
