Reports to: General Manager

Come join our FAMOUS team We are looking for an innovative Assistant Manager in the Charlotte area who can continue to build on the culture that makes us FAMOUS. With no night shifts, you will love being able to spend every evening with your family

The Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in supporting the overall management of the restaurant. This position involves assisting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Assistant General Manager contributes to financial goals, staff development, and the overall success of the restaurant. This is done by:

  • Collaborating with the General Manager to develop strategies to increase customer satisfaction and drive sales.
  • Monitoring financial metrics such as labor cost and cost of goods.
  • Aiding in the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff.
  • Managing inventory to ensure freshness and food rotations are appropriately being followed as well as assisting in ordering.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance in the restaurant.
  • Monitoring and enforcing health and safety regulations.
  • Handling customer complaints and resolving issues.
  • Ensuring workstations are set up correctly and inventory levels are maintained.
  • Ensuring recipes are followed.
  • Expediting food orders.
  • Assisting with menu planning and development.
  • Acting as the General Manager in their absence.
  • Performing opening and/or closing duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous two (2) years of experience in restaurant operations required.
  • Culinary experience a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree in business or hospitality management is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.

To be successful in this role, a Assistant Manager should have strong leadership and management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. They should also have a passion for the restaurant industry and a desire to deliver the best possible experience for customers. In addition, a Assistant Manager should have a thorough understanding of financial and business principles, as they will be responsible for making important financial decisions for the restaurant.
