TITLE: Program Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Community Programs

REPORTS TO: Program Manager

STATUS: Non-Exempt

HOURS: 40 hours per week

CLASSIFICATION: 5

POSITION DESCRIPTON:


Responsible for assisting management team and program staff. Provides clerical support and administrative assistance to support effective implementation and coordination of programs and services.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Greet office visitors and route incoming telephone calls to appropriate staff.


2. Miscellaneous clerical duties such as faxing, copying and sorting mail.


3. Typing and data entry.


4. Data Collection.


5. Prepare and submit required reports.


6. Arrange and participate in required meetings and conferences.


7. Maintain patient confidentiality.


8. Perform other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:


1. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.


2. Ability to perform computer projects associated with Windows.


3. Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with staff, subordinates, patients and the general public.


4. Ability to make sound judgments and respond to unusual circumstances.


5. Must be neat and professional in appearance.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


At least two (2) years clerical experienced preferred. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet and graphics.

MEDICAL HOME STATEMENT:


Be aware and understand expectations and responsibilities of the Patient Centered Medical Home. Understand role, complete relevant duties, and the requirement to maintain highest level of proficiency within scope, as part of this team-based approach in the patient care continuum.
