Are you looking for an opportunity to join a growing organization that puts people first? Credit Union of Georgia is looking for a talented Area Manager to help lead out growing branch teams.


The Area Manager provides leadership and guidance to branches in their designated geographic area. Primary focus is on goal attainment of sales, strategic initiatives and ensuring quality service to our membership, and providing leadership and direction in the staffing of branches and the career development of branch associates.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for upholding Credit Union of Georgia brand standards including following all of the steps of our unique member experience and to Engage, Ask, Solve and Excite and deliver top level member service.
  • Oversees general management of all branches in area.
  • Works with branch manager on staffing needs.
  • Helps drive member experience - journEASE - and branch production based on established goals.
  • Oversees and directs business development efforts in area. Facilitates new ideas and helps build relationships in market when necessary.
  • Coordinates training and serve as an information source for the branch.
  • Enhances sales skills of branch staff in a consultative sales approach to deepen member relationships.
  • Continuously monitor and review performance of each branch office and associates to include sales and growth attainment and positive impact on the market.
  • Continually monitor incentive and sales targets for each branch location and provide appropriate feedback to branch managers.
  • Assures that the branch is operating efficiently, is staffed appropriately, and that all aspects of branch operations are functioning; including hardware, equipment, ATM, Teller Cash Recyclers, check scanners, cameras, alarms, vault and vault limits, coin machines, etc. Also responsible for branch maintenance and appearance.
  • Continuously monitor and review performance of each branch ensuring branch profitability and expenses are kept in line with budget.
  • Responsible for ensuring all area branches are compliant with policy, procedures and internal controls.
  • Responsible for using branch history to create and implement an annual budget including fixed assets while tracking overall branch performance ensuring optimal profitability by branch.
  • Monitor incentive targets and provide appropriate feedback to branch managers.
  • Monitors and ensures familiarity and compliance with, all Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Maintains any personal certifications or registries as applicable and as required by law, and completes any required training or submitting any required information in order to ensure that they are kept current. This includes staying compliant with the S.A.F.E. Act, BSA, and all other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Complete individual performance appraisals for branch managers, coach, and assist managers in the leadership of branch staff, and foster a teamwork orientated work environment throughout the area.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of branch strategic plans.

Requirements:

Experience

  • At least 5 years of banking or credit union leadership and lending experience.
  • Business development experience preferred.
  • 7+ years practical work experience.
