Description

The Mitigation Manager in Kennesaw, GA, US is responsible for resolving water damage issues in residential properties. This role involves performing a range of activities such as extracting liquids, removing mold, demolishing walls, drying materials, vacuuming, scrubbing, applying caulking, and painting. Additionally, the technician may be required to handle cleanup of bodily fluids in certain situations.

Responsibilities

•Inspect and assess the damage that has been done to the home; find or confirm the root cause of the disaster.
•Obtain Work Authorization from the Customer.
•Complete Tick Sheet Identifying specific work that needs to be performed and equipment that is needed.
•Gather needed supplies and equipment.
•Begin performing work or schedule with the insured to return as needed.
•Monitor equipment and take daily logs of the drying process.

Mitigation Duties include, but are not limited to:
•Demolish and remove affected contents.
•Extraction of water.
•Remove mold.
•Dry carpet, wall, sheetrock, subfloors.
•Remove sewage overflow.
•Board up windows.
•Install subfloor or framing if needed.
•Perform "Flood Cuts" on drywall or remove the entire sheetrock.
•Contain exposed areas using plastic; seal off needed areas.

Cleaning Duties include, but are not limited to:
•Vacuum and clean mold; wipe with an antimicrobial towel.
•Paint surface areas, most often new drywall and doors.
•Caulk, and fill nail holes (trim and cabinets) to prepare for paint.
•Pack out items and clean them at the office (depending on quantity and size).
•Take soiled materials (clothes, bedding, curtains) to the laundromat.

Qualifications

•Must be able to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 75 pounds.
•Must have experience.
•Able to work in tight (crawl) spaces for extended periods of time.
•Must have a clean and professional appearance.
•Must be able to pass a background check.
•Great work ethic.
•Detail-oriented.
•Organized.
•Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
•Must be at least 18 years old.
•Training is provided.
