Johnson Venture Management Solutions is hiring a Healthcare Coordinator at the Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington.

The Healthcare Coordinator will counsel active duty and reserve component members on the program requirements, military benefits, legal rights, and the appeals process in support to the 92nd Medical Group Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) at Fairchild Airforce Base, Washington. In addition, the Healthcare Coordinator will coordinate Aeromedical Evacuation (AE) or other patient travel requirements, Temporary Disability Retirement Listings (TDRL), fitness for duty determinations, line of duty (LOD) terminations, and other program requirements related to the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES). The Healthcare Coordinator will also advise service member and medical staff on Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) findings.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plans and completes necessary Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) process activities from the time of notification of the need to evaluate an active-duty member's fitness for duty until a disposition is made by the Secretary of the Air Force Personnel Council.
  • Responsible for obtaining, assembling, and forwarding all documents and records required by the PEB.
  • Receives and responds to inquiries from beneficiaries, DoD Components, other agencies, and various interested parties.
  • Coordinates with appropriate points of contact throughout the Military Health System (MHS), the line of the Air Force agencies, (e.g. Military Personnel Flight, Comptroller Squadron, Patient Travel, and AE) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (e.g. Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA)) to best meet the member's needs for information or assistance.
  • Assists the medical professional staff and other staff members on the regulatory and procedural aspects of profiling and disability processing. Provides MEB orientation program and on the job training for assigned staff personnel as required.
  • Ensure all records, include all books, papers, maps, photographs, machine readable materials, or other documentary materials, regardless of physical form or characteristics), files, documents and working papers provided by the government, and/or generated for the government in the performance of this contract, remain government property and are maintained IAW established AFIs.
  • Extracts, maintains, and analyzes statistical data from various IDES sources.
  • Briefs the MTF Commander, MEB board members, and other staff members on the status of the local MEB/PEB program.
  • Assures necessary arrangements are made for members to travel on temporary duty status to and from other locations as required.
  • Updates local program documentation, (e.g., patient handouts, training documents, checklists, operating procedures, etc.)
  • Advises service member and medical staff on PEB findings.
  • Perform medical administrative services as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Two years relevant work experience. Medical administration is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledgeable of the TRICARE and IDES program policies and reference manuals.

Education:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, management, or healthcare management from an accredited college of university.
