SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at our Sierra Arc facility. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our maintenance program, ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our critical equipment.


Aqua Metals is the only company that has developed a commercially proven, sustainable, closed-loop metal recycling process, and Aqua Metals is applying its commercialized clean, water-based recycling technology principles to develop the cleanest and most cost-efficient recycling solution for lithium-ion batteries. Our technology will produce higher quality products at a lower operating cost without the damaging effects of furnaces, chemical waste streams, and greenhouse emissions.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance program to minimize downtime and optimize equipment lifespan, for an OSHA PSM managed operation.
  • Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Schedule and prioritize maintenance activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, coordinating repairs with internal staff or external vendors.
  • Oversee and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring adherence to cost, uptime, and availability targets.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with PSM safety, and environmental, standards.
  • Oversee the setup and maintenance of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities.
  • Participates in PSSR activities, incident investigations, and compliance audits.
  • Champion the Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • Prepare and deliver maintenance reports to plant management.
  • Maintain an exceptionally strong safety culture and ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with company and OSHA PSM safety standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a leadership role within a chemical, food, or pharmaceutical plant maintenance environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful preventive maintenance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and budgeting
  • Excellent understanding of chemical process equipment, including pumps, valves, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
  • Experience using CMMS software to drive efficiency and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently.
  • Unwavering commitment to safety and environmental compliance/excellence.
