Summary (Major Purpose of the Role):
This position is responsible for managing purchase orders (POs) to ensure the timely supply of products to Drive North America. The role involves creating and releasing POs based on the supply plan and working closely with suppliers to optimize shipment schedules to meet on-time delivery requirements. Significant cross-functional collaboration is required, including coordination with the Sourcing and Quality teams to evaluate and manage supplier performance and capabilities. The role also involves understanding potential risks, developing mitigation plans as necessary, and effectively coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve Supply Chain goals.
This role offers a hybrid work model, including two on-site days per week at our corporate office in Port Washington, NY.
Main Activities/Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze Purchase Requisitions and covert to firm Purchase Orders to meet inventory and service goals for the North America business
- PO management including date maintenance, expediting and de-expediting execution and order file reconciliation with suppliers
- Optimize inbound supply to meet customer service requirements, working with suppliers and other internal stakeholders to eliminate bottlenecks and develop creative solutions to closing supply gaps
- Analysis and problem solving with cross-functional stakeholders, leading to continuous improvement in processes, tools and communication
- Contingency planning as a tool to manage supply base risk and accommodate variation in demand and supply
- Compiling and distributing reports such as performance metrics, including interpretation and summarizing conclusions
- Close supplier collaboration across a set of deliverables including capacity management, total cost and overall supply base efficiency
- Collaborate with adjacent functional areas to manage tactical resolution of supply challenges along with continuous improvement of processes, including Logistics, Distribution Centers, Finance & Accounting and Product Management
- Sourcing ownership for assigned suppliers including but not limited to negotiating and managing price changes, business strategy for existing suppliers, new supplier prospecting and onboarding

Reporting Relationships and Supervision:
- This position has no direct reports or supervisory duties and reports to the Director, Sourcing & Procurement.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
- 1 to 2 years Procurement supply chain experience (preferred)
- Proficient in MS Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, plus Outlook,
- Experience in working with ERP systems with preference for SAP (IBP) preferred

Actual salaries may vary depending on factors such as the applicant’s experience, specialization, education, as well as the company’s requirements. The provided salary range does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits which may be offered to the applicant, if eligible according to the company’s policies.
