Seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with our client, a company providing machine tools and laser technology in Greensboro, NC. 

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k. Our client offers a robust career path with opportunity for internal growth.

Pay rate is between $30-$37 per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, troubleshoot and repair company fabricating machine tools at customer sites throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico
  • Provide high-quality technical service to customers to ensure optimal sheet metal machine performance.
  • Document customer machine information and technical conditions and make improvement suggestions.
  • Train customers to operate and/or service machines to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Act as a company service ambassador and work directly with customers during installations and repairs to enable their business success.

Travel

  • 100% travel both domestically and internationally as required.

  • Must maintain Valid Driver’s License

  • Ability to obtain Passport and rent automobile

  • Overnights required

Education & Experience

  • Two-year technical degree in engineering or related field preferred, or combination of training and work experience

  • 2 or more years of experience in technical service, field service, repair or customer service required

  • Strong electrical and computer systems experience and high level of diagnostic skills

  • Previous experience with robotics, lasers, automation systems or mechatronics required

  • Previous experience with hand tools and measurement tools required

  • Must have strong problem-solving and excellent organization skills

  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis, document findings and explain to both external and internal customers
