Position Overview:
Arcadis is on the lookout for a Senior Water Resources Engineer to become a part of our expanding Resilience Water Team.
In collaboration with our seasoned Water Experts, you will facilitate and propel project development, engage with clients, and enhance your technical skills. Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Water Resources Engineer, your duties will include evaluating, planning, designing, permitting, and overseeing the management of projects related to water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance systems (including pipelines, treatment facilities, and pumping stations).
Your additional responsibilities will encompass:
- Providing professional engineering services during construction phases, including site observation, review of shop drawings, and responding to requests for information (RFIs).
- Assessing, developing, and managing sustainability and resilience initiatives, including vulnerability assessments and planning for utilities and municipalities.
- Supporting Asset Management projects through data analysis, operational assessments, condition evaluations, and overall performance reviews of water/wastewater/stormwater facilities.
- Preparing reports, presentations, and other multimedia materials, and participating in client meetings.
- Conducting field data collection for compliance with permits and providing support for local clients.
- Ensuring adherence to all Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards, while facilitating timely project completion and submission.
- Utilizing digital tools to enhance client experiences, team collaboration, and project delivery, including SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality.
- Travel may be necessary for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, and oversight of construction activities, depending on project needs.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Possession of EIT or PE certification.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively, with flexibility to engage with team members across the U.S. and internationally.
- PE license.
- Experience in a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software.
