As a Fire Sprinkler Estimator, your primary responsibility will be to accurately estimate project costs associated with fire sprinkler system installations. Your meticulous approach, speed, and positive attitude will play a vital role in the pre-construction phase, ensuring timely and precise bid submissions.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    • Scrutinize blueprints and relevant documentation to derive accurate estimates for time, cost, materials, and labor required for fire sprinkler system installations.
    • Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to initial estimates as the project progresses.
    • Consult with clients, vendors, personnel from various departments, and construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates, addressing and resolving any issues that may arise.
    • Engage with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to discuss changes and adjustments to cost estimates in alignment with project requirements.
    • Develop estimates essential for management purposes, aiding in planning, organizing, and scheduling fire sprinkler system installations.
    • Collaborate with design teams to integrate design elements into cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
    • Prepare estimates for the selection of vendors or subcontractors, considering cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
    • Evaluate material and labor requirements, determining the most cost-effective approach, whether through production or procurement.
    • Establish systems and procedures for monitoring and reporting project costs, providing regular updates and expenditure statements.
    • Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors for easy reference and efficient project execution.
    • Provide estimates for new fire sprinkler system installations and service contracts.
    • Consult with customers and businesses to offer solutions and information regarding fire sprinkler system inquiries.
    • Complete paperwork in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    • Generate 25% of leads through self-initiated efforts.
Qualifications
    • Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Estimator or in a related role.
    • Proficient in blueprint analysis, cost assessment, and estimating software.
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills with clients, stakeholders, and industry professionals.
    • Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, NFPA codes, and related regulations.
    • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
    • Proactive and self-driven, capable of generating leads independently.
    • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Superior customer service skills and strong organizational skills
