Cirrus Aircraft is currently seeking a Quality Assurance NDI Intern. This is a full-time internship opportunity based onsite at our corporate headquarters in Duluth, Minnesota from May 2025 through August 2025.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm

Job Duties:

  • Performs Non-Destructive Testing IAW written policy
  • Assists team members in root cause analysis and assists in corrective action planning to improve product quality
  • Assists in development of standard operating procedures for relevant quality management system functions
  • Performs first article inspections
  • Provides recommendation to Issue corrective actions and for quality system and product nonconformance
  • Assists in development of product quality acceptance standards
  • Participant in lean activities & provides input on continuous process improvements and quality management system
  • Assists in the completion of product and process/system audits
  • Reports on area QC activity and compliance
  • Generate non-conforming material reports

Qualifications:

  • Current student of the Nondestructive Testing Technology program at Ridgewater College.
  • Reads interprets and inspects aircraft parts and assemblies in accordance with blueprints, process specifications and manufacturing planning document
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the quality assurance manual and the processes/procedures on production products and articles
  • Applies written processes/procedures to products/ articles for inspection
  • Clearly communicates issues orally and in writing
  • Uses common inspection instruments that include but are not limited to calipers, micrometers, indicators and scales
  • Identifies non-compliances to established processes/procedures
  • Interprets proper dispositions in the MRB process
  • Self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Aviation experience preferred but not required

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
  • Must be able to complete entire duration of internship.
  • Must be able to secure local housing for duration of internship. A relocation bonus will be provided.
