We’re excited to announce the construction of our new, state-of-the-art plant in Bowling Green, KY – the first purpose-built facility featuring our groundbreaking MAGMA technology. We're not just revolutionizing the way glass bottles are made; we're creating a dynamic, strategic, and collaborative work culture that will drive innovation across the industry.
About the position:
This is no normal HR position, it will be a unique opportunity to transform and build our future. As our People & Culture Leader, you will be at the forefront of a transformation that will redefine our company and the glass industry. This pivotal role will focus on driving our people strategy, fostering innovation, and spearheading learning and development initiatives. Beyond day-to-day HR activities, you'll have a strategic impact, guiding engagement, succession planning, and the onboarding experience. You will play a pivotal role in creating a robust pipeline of talent and furthering the culture of our new Bowling Green team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the People & Culture function for O-I’s newest glass container facility enabled by MAGMA technology
- Develop and implement strategies for talent lifecycle, and overall employee experience and wellbeing.
- Work closely with a diverse and collaborative leadership team to foster an engaging culture that emphasizes safety, teamwork, and innovation.
- Drive the development of teammates through continuous learning experiences and co-developed training plans
- Measure the effectiveness of learning programs and collaborate to continuously improve them based on feedback and evolving business and employee needs.
- Champion a transformational and inclusive culture through collaboration, challenging the status quo and creating innovative solutions that deliver an engaged and high-performing team.
- Develop and promote initiatives that strengthen team & community ties.
About You:
You are a passionate, innovative HR professional with a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach. You thrive in open environments and are motivated to make a real impact. You have:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to proactively envision and create transformational solutions.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in People & Culture (HR).
- A strong drive for personal growth and a commitment to coaching, developing and mentoring others.
- Experience in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- A deep understanding of creating a culture of safety, wellbeing, and trust.
- Experience with leading and collaborating on strategic projects, business expansion, and innovation.
- The ability to integrate and connect across the global and local organization.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a collaborative spirit.
Location and Travel:
This position is based onsite in Bowling Green, KY, with an expected travel requirement of up to 10%, including visits to other O-I plants and offices which may require international travel.

Additional Information
What we offer at O-I:
Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $84,700 and $105,880 USD and 15% of annual bonus per performance. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
