Human Resources Generalist responsibilities included but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal laws regarding hiring practices
  • Assisting with the hiring, interviewing, and selection process of potential new hires
  • Ensuring timely government compliance in the areas of wage and hour, EEO/AA, and USCIS
  • Coordinating maintenance of personnel files
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and assist with the onboarding process
  • Resolving issues related to benefits and special incentive programs
  • Administering leave of absence policies, including FMLA, STD, and LOA while ensuring compliance with government regulations
  • Presenting company benefit programs to new hires
  • Providing Human Resources support to the facility
  • Manage employee relation issues in a timely manner while maintaining confidentiality
  • Interacting with the local union to resolve employee issues
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with the union representative and ensuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Investigating and resolving employee complaints
  • Employee engagement within an office environment and on the production floor
  • Tracking daily attendance
  • Issuing disciplinary write-ups
  • Executing daily and weekly Human Resource functions and activities
  • Serving as the liaison between employees and management
  • Assisting with Human Resource applications as needed
  • Minimum travel
  • Other duties as assigned

This is an on-site position.


Qualified candidates for the Human Resources Generalist position should possess the following:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an HR role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field preferred
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Labor relations experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of employment and labor laws
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask effectively with strong attention to detail
  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Familiarly with AS 400 preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule to support activities on all shifts
