We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to add to our team. This individual will work with senior engineers and suppliers to define the quality requirements for subcontracted work, provide engineering support to suppliers, and to ensure all customer requirements are met. This role includes but is not limited to:

Essential Duties

  • Define quality requirements for subcontracted goods.

  • Perform contract review engineering functions in timely manner, including:- Create Item Masters as necessary

    • Define CTQ’s for suppliers
    • Detail quality requirements and measures
  • Provide engineering support to subcontractors.

  • Perform incoming inspection and verification of components to customer requirements.

  • Compile and submit quality documentation packages for subcontracted goods.

  • Special projects and improvement initiatives as directed by management.

Position Requirements

  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with and effectively communicate with team members, as well as problem solving and conflict resolution in a professional manner.
  • Effective computer skills, with the ability to learn how to use an ERP system, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work according to business and customer needs.
  • Excellent detail orientation to ensure accurate and timely work process flow.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time, crouch, and sometimes be in awkward positions

Preferred Requirements:

  • Ability to read blueprints for machined and/or fabricated components
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks or MasterCAM
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment: machining and/or fabrication
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology

  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • AS9100 Experience
