Generator Mechanical Engineer

About the Role: We're seeking a dynamic Generator Mechanical Engineer to join our client's innovative team. In this role, you'll play a key part in qualifying stator bars and the H35 Generator in collaboration with our client's suppliers. You'll have the opportunity to shape test plans, drive their implementation, and document the results. Your expertise will be crucial in coordinating with our client's internal teams to ensure technical excellence and smooth project progress.


What You'll Do:

  • Partner with suppliers to qualify stator bars and the H35 Generator.
  • Develop, implement, and document comprehensive test plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet technical requirements and manage interfaces effectively.
  • Monitor manufacturing progress at Andritz, address any SDRs, and keep drawings and BOMs up to date.


What We're Looking For:

  • A strong understanding of power generation generators.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems.
  • Experience with Generator Bill of Materials is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English is essential; German is a bonus.


Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
  • 5-8 years of engineering experience.
  • A solid work ethic with a proven ability to take ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a matrix environment.
  • Experience in project management with a knack for effective communication across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with ease.
