Job DescriptionJob Description

TITLE: Back Office Analyst

LOCATION: Houston, Texas

TYPE: Direct Hire

SALARY: $40 - $55 / Per Hour (Open Ended Contract)

SUMMARY:

The Back Office Analyst must have a strong understanding of trading systems and thorough understanding of financial instruments such as futures, options, and swaps. Ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the risk management function is key to being successful in this position.

DUTIES:

  • Verify that all trades comply with internal policies and procedures and with external regulations.
  • Review the accuracy of trade details including quantity, price, and settlement date.
  • Ensure trades are executed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconcile daily trades with exchanges (NMEX, ICE SWAPS, OTC).
  • Monitor and reconcile daily clearing activities to ensure they are within authorized limits.
  • Process invoices related to brokerage fees and paper derivatives billed to affiliates.
  • Support Trading Desks and Management by providing statistical results and trade analysis.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of Back Office Analyst support
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Charts)
  • Programming skills (VBA, Python)
  • Good communication and organizational skills

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors Degree in Economics/Math/Finance/Energy or similar discipline
