Position Summary:
We're looking for a Field Services and Member Relations Specialist who will expand and enhance member communications, coordinate harvest/fruit receiving operations, and support member records and data. Your goal is to produce and distribute communications for grower-owners using varied media. You will coordinate fruit receiving activities within the tri-state region, focusing on effective and efficient harvest scheduling. As part of the National Grape Co-operative team, you will support member records updates, data collection and management, and GIS mapping.
Where You'll Work
This role is on site at the National Grape Co-operative office in Westfield, NY. You'll visit with grower-owners on their farms within the Lake Erie and Finger Lakes regions of New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio and attend industry events. This includes up to 10% travel.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for improving member communications on topics like business performance, cooperative policies and procedures, viticulture programs, farm management and member services.
- Create and deliver effective internal communications on a variety of platforms to include print, audio, video and websites.
- Organize and execute timely and accurate member Marketing Agreement revisions, including GIS vineyard map revision and data entry into systems.
- Support viticultural activities including sustainability, traceability, crop estimation, crop forecasting, and adoption of new technologies.
- Execute pre-harvest and harvest activities as a member of National's Harvest Team. This includes collecting member data, harvest delivery scheduling, and supervision of fruit receiving activities.
- Understand and enforce National policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather information and ensure clear and consistent messaging
- Build effective working relationships with grower/owners and industry stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve internal communication strategies.

- Working knowledge of agronomic/viticultural principles and practices. Understanding of pesticide regulations and principles.
- Knowledge/understanding of Precision Ag and/or Ag AI technologies - not required but considered a plus.
- Ability to work through challenging situations and resolve conflict quickly and effectively.
- Makes decisions that positively impact the current and future state of the cooperative.
- Works relentlessly to overachieve, anticipate obstacles, and creates plans to overcome them.

- Willing to work outside in varying weather conditions.
- Willing to work extended hours during harvest operations.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication or Agriculture strongly preferred, other related degrees considered.
- 3+ years of experience in Communications/Viticulture/Agriculture - strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
- Experience not required but considered a plus: Access, SharePoint, ArcGIS, Audio and/or video recording and editing, website maintenance.
- Private or Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification in NY or PA (or ability to obtain).
- Validate Driver's license.
