Position Summary
The Temporary Field Service Laborer is responsible for assisting with disassembling, reassembling, inspecting, testing, and repairing a multitude of valves including (but not limited to); control valves, gate valves, and safety valves at contracted power generating facilities and paper mills. Immediate opportunity to add value to the core business by fulfilling our customer's needs in an accurate and timely manner. Months worked are typically February through June and September through December. Please note, the schedule is made on a weekly basis and there is the possibility of time off between jobs.
Responsibilities and Duties
Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
Traveling is required for this position
Experience working in power plants, paper mills, and industries of a similar nature preferred but not required.
Knowledge and understanding of safety practices and procedures working in power plants, paper mills, and similar settings
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Provide own steel-toed boots and proper work attire for field service
Qualifications and Skills
High mechanical aptitude, previous experience working on valves is a plus, but not required
High School diploma or equivalence required
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Experience working in the field and in a shop environment
Ability to work on a team and work independently at times
Instrument experience is a plus
OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification is a plus

Overtime frequently offered and double time pay on Sundays
Daily Per Diem paid and compensation for travel time. Plane and hotel expenses paid for by the company in advance.
