Responsibilities:

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations;
  • 15+ years of practical experience with environmental investigations and remediation projects on data center projects;
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage, motivate, mentor and lead others;
  • Demonstrated ability effectively managing projects from concept through completion;
  • Experienced in technical and proposal writing;
  • Ability to work well on multi-disciplinary projects;

Responsibilities

  • This individual will serve a key function in identifying and managing environmental/engineering projects and proposals, becoming part of the driving force behind Alpha Corporation’s continuing growth in the data center market
  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally with top firm-wide and industry leadership, fueling a developing Data Center practice, on a diverse array of premier environmental projects
  • Lead environmental and multi-discipline efforts on a variety of project sites, with a focus on data centers, including performing complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects;
  • Participate in the identification and pursuit of new data center clients, develop additional work within an existing project and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients;
  • Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments
  • Coach, train, and motivate staff assigned to Environmental projects
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring staff;
  • Supervise field activities and interpretation of findings so that data collection and laboratory analyses are completed correctly, within budget, and on time;
  • Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines
  • Prepare progress reports and draft change orders
  • Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assist in payment collections;
  • Effectively organize, write, and edit reports, draft proposals, and other documents;
  • Coordinate other work groups within the same or different office locations and/or within the same or different disciplines on an as-needed basis;
  • Interface effectively and professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, project personnel, supervisors, and others; and
  • Perform other duties as requested

Physical Requirements

The incumbent in this position can typically expect to sit and use his/her hands to handle and feel for more than 1/3 of the day. He/she can expect to stand or walk for more than 2/3 of the day. Talking and listening are also expected for more than 1/3 of the day. The ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with arms will be needed for more than 1/3 of the day.

This position requires that the incumbent be able to lift items up to 80 pounds on an infrequent basis.

The incumbent in this position should have clear vision at 20 inches or less. He/she should be able to view various reports and forms as well as information displayed on a computer monitor and have the ability to distinguish between different colors. Depth perception, peripheral vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to see from a distance are also necessary.
