Orlando, United States Jonathan's Landing Foundation Full time
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $40 - 55K Annually

JOB DETAILS & DESCRIPTION

As the Project Coordinator, you will be a master at managing and executing diverse projects that support our mission and enhance our community impact. You will be responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives, fostering partnerships, and ensuring the successful completion of special projects across all departments. Your role will require creativity, strategic thinking, and a passion for improving the lives of families and adults with autism.

You are an expert in organization, time management, and getting things done fast and at a high quality. As a growing professional in the world of project management, you have some experience with Agile and Waterfall project management software, and you’re excited to keep learning new methodologies to help individuals excel at their execution and delivery.

This job description is intended to evolve as the organization grows and as our needs change. Jonathan’s Landing fosters a flat hierarchy and a true team-service mentality, with team members providing assistance to one another and sharing or temporarily transitioning responsibilities as needed to ensure that the organization’s expectations, goals, values, and mission are met or exceeded and that all team members are able to succeed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Project Planning and Development

• Collaborate with the project team to develop project documentation, project plans, timelines, scheduling, budgets, and reports.

• Conduct research and gather information to support project development and implementation.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, ensuring alignment and clarity on project goals and objectives. Manage task tracking to highlight dependencies and risks to the team and ensure clear understanding of timeline, task, and delivery.

• Coordinate project activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and facilitating discussions.

• Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, project reports, and other communications to team members.

• Coordinate logistics for project events, workshops, and activities.

• Process expenses and manage invoices, ensuring timely payments for projects.

• Serve as primary contact for team members.

Volunteer Management

• Develop volunteer schedules and assignments and ensure adequate coverage for all events and programs.

• Provide ongoing support, guidance, and recognition to volunteers, fostering a positive and engaging volunteer experience.

• Maintain volunteer database, track volunteer hours, and provide regular reports to management.

• Develop volunteer schedules, assignments, and ensure adequate coverage for all events and programs.

• Serve as primary contact for volunteers.

INTERPERSONAL OBJECTIVES:

• Establish good working relationships with co-workers and team members that respect everyone’s right to their physical and emotional needs, as well as working to meet each other’s learning needs.

• Receive constructive feedback with diplomacy, proactively address concerns or interpersonal issues with colleagues (and with leadership as needed), actively listen to colleagues, and ask questions to seek understanding to allay assumptions.

• Have a thorough understanding of all aspects of projects assigned to you and a willingness to ask questions when you need additional clarification and understanding. Saying, “I don’t know,” is critical for teams—along with the willingness to learn new skills.

• Maintain positive and constructive demeanor and willingness to grow as an individual, both in job skill and interpersonal skills.

• Maintain a high level of organization, staying in command of all deadlines while also having a willingness to be held accountable as a team when we don’t hit our deadlines.

• Assist team members when they need help, whenever possible—one team, one dream.

• Work independently without a need for significant oversight and stay focused under pressure. When deadlines or tasks pile up, reaching out for support before hitting burnout is vital.

• Tackle problems and take independent action, seek out new responsibilities, act on opportunities, generate new ideas, and practice self-development.

• Welcome newcomers with a willingness to onboard teammates, and promote a collegial atmosphere.

• And most importantly, have a true desire to work with an incredible team to change the world. Our mission is bigger than any one of us, but it needs every single one of us.

QUALIFIC ATIONS

• Experience with project coordination, preferable in a nonprofit or community-based organization, but not necessary for hire.

• Demonstrated experience coordinating a diverse team of stakeholders and coordinating task management.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management.
