SERVPRO of Western Lancaster & East York is hiring an Accounting Associate

Position Overview:
Our organization is seeking an experienced and strategic Accounting Associate to join our team. As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with invoicing and payment processing. The Accounting Associate will also be responsible for drafting month-end and year-end financial statements for reporting purposes. This is a critical role that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Process and register customer invoices using QuickBooks and other various accounting software
  • Perform reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts
  • Record and maintain financial transactions
  • Process payroll
  • Maintain records for stock and inventory
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules
  • Compile and review various financial information
  • Administrative tasks, such as maintaining filing and answering telephones
  • Communicate with vendors and clients regarding financial transactions
  • Develop and maintain accurate records, including financial reports on sales, expenditures, and revenues
Necessary Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelors or associate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an accounting associate or similar position in the Accounting department.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
  • Extensive knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve financial goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
