Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Procurement Manager to join our dedicated team. As a pivotal member of our administrative staff, you will oversee all procurement activities to ensure the hospital's operational efficiency and continuity of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of supply chain management, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of procurement ethics and compliance.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the hospital's goals and objectives.
  • Source and procure medical supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals, and services required for hospital operations.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and pricing.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on procurement processes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage inventory control systems to optimize stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies throughout the procurement process.
  • Oversee the procurement team, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
  • Analyze procurement data and generate reports to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role within the healthcare industry, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
