Healthcare Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Healthcare Buyer to manage the procurement process for medical and non-medical supplies, equipment, and services in alignment with the facility's needs and budgetary constraints.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the Workday ERP System Financial Module and a strong background in healthcare procurement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process for medical and non-medical supplies, equipment, and services.
- Utilize the Workday ERP System Financial Module to process purchase orders, track inventory levels, and manage supplier relationships.
- Conduct market research and evaluate supplier performance to ensure cost-effective and high-quality procurement.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to forecast supply needs and develop procurement strategies.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze procurement data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Address and resolve any issues related to procurement, including delivery delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor communications in the Workday system.

Requirements:
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Bachelors degree preferred.
- One (1) to three (3) years experience in a healthcare purchasing setting with the ability to analyze price/costs on a wide range of products and services.
- Prior experience with computerized purchasing/inventory management systems.
- Evaluate purchase history and cost variances to understand changes in usage
- Strong understanding of healthcare supply chain requirements and procurement best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, generate reports, review contracts and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Advanced PC skills and MS Office applications.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
