About the Role:

The Director of Investments will be responsible for developing and executing investment strategies, overseeing portfolio management, and ensuring the financial success of our real estate investments. This role includes leading and participating in capital raising efforts, managing investor relations, and maintaining robust back-end systems for tracking investments and investors. The successful candidate will need to have a deep understanding of market trends, outstanding communication skills and exceptional analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Sales:

  • Tap into various investor networks and develop and communicate with all leads generated.
  • Perform outreach and networking for capital raising.
  • Research and develop new sales tactics to secure investments.
  • Monitor and track all new investments until funds are received in escrow.
    • Communicate and resolve any issues in the investment process.
      • Monitor, track, and receive all wire transfers.
      • Onboard SDIRA investments.
  • Oversee vet Stock Issuances with Operations team.
  • Track and vet redemptions from initial request to payout.
    • Approve new redemptions requests with CFO before sending paperwork.
    • Vet and approve paperwork and send to VStock two weeks before the end of the quarter.
    • Manage redemption list for Juniper Square and CFO approval.
  • Manage and use SalesForce, FundAmerica, VStock, and Juniper Square for client relations, property/portfolio updates, investor information, and documents.

Operations:

  • Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with the firm’s objectives.
  • Identify and assess potential investment opportunities.
  • Oversee portfolio management to maximize returns and minimize risks.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Due diligence processes, including financial analysis and property inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with real estate investments.
  • Work closely with asset and property management of investment properties, ensuring financial and operational targets are met.
  • Prepare and present detailed investment reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Investor Relations:

  • Update quarterly reports within 30-45 days of the beginning of the quarter.
  • Expand investor communications, including email or call all investors quarterly.
  • Improve customer experience by working with Juniper to enhance DRIP and follow-on investment processes.
  • Notify investors within 24 hours when dividends, tax, and quarterly reports are uploaded to their accounts.
  • Solve investor issues and questions within 48 hours.
  • Develop and implement an investor relations strategy that aligns with the firm's goals.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with current and potential investors.
  • Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations on the performance and strategy of the investment portfolio.
  • Coordinate investor meetings, conferences, and other communication activities.
  • Ensure transparent and consistent communication to build investor confidence and trust.

Qualifications

  • Must be in the Texas area
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate investment, portfolio management, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of successful investment strategy development and execution.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Real Estate finance, especially in Multifamily.
  • Familiarity with Juniper Square, Fundamerica, Primetrust, V-Stock Issuance, Docusign, Constant Contact, Intercom Chat, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • General understanding of SDIRA’s and maintaining relationships with IRA holders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of market trends and regulatory requirements in real estate.
