National Fleet Administrator

The National Fleet Administrator will oversee all administrative aspects of TireHub’s nationwide fleet, including delivery and material handling assets across multiple states. This role administers vendor and fuel programs, ensures compliance with regulations and internal policies, and works with field and corporate leaders. The position is responsible for vendor performance, fleet maintenance quality, and system oversight, aiming to optimize fleet productivity while controlling costs.

This role reports to the National Transportation Manager.

Role Specifics:

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Maintains the relationships with TireHub’s fleet management vendor, ensuring they meet performance standards and expectations.
  • Fleet Program Improvement: Continuously enhance the fleet program by fully utilizing customer portals, vendor systems, and capabilities.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serves as the expert on all aspects of TireHub’s fleet programs (i.e. vehicle leasing, fuel management, safety and regulatory, material handling equipment management), recommending/creating policies, standards, and requirements, and at times collaborating within the department and other key stakeholders.
  • Asset Maintenance: Oversees timely proper maintenance of all fleet assets to ensure they are safe, reliable, and operational.
  • Field Support: Ensures all field leaders have the resources needed to the fleet programs, delivering best-in-class fleet.
  • Training and Compliance: Develops and implements training programs for employees to ensure compliance with TireHub policies, DOT regulations, and related laws.
  • Asset Management: Supports adding, replacing, and disposing of fleet assets, in coordination with finance and field leadership. Securing, repair records, vehicle lease agreements, title, and registrations.
  • Risk Management: Works collaboratively with Risk, Safety, Operations, and 3rd party vendor to determine if an Auto Physical Damage (APD) subrogation claims should be open. Approving if repairs will be made to all vehicles.
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with the Operations Finance Manager to manage financial budgets, tracking, and reporting for fleet and fuel expenditures.

· Fleet Audits: Conduct audits to ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations.

· Monitoring and Reporting: Monitors vendor activities and take corrective measures to ensure compliance with standards and cost accuracy. Develop regular “health of the fleet” reports for Leadership.

· Lifecycle Planning: Develops a life cycle replacement plan and assess the total cost of operation for delivery equipment.

· Toll Management: Assist in developing and implementing a toll management strategy.

· Engages with other departments to ensure alignment and coordination in achieving TireHub’s objectives.

· Participates and maintains ongoing training requirements through in-class, in-person, or computer-based learning modules, as assigned.

· Complies with all TireHub policies and procedures.

· Completes other tasks assigned by their supervisor or another member of leadership.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience managing a fleet of 1,000 or more assets across multiple states, demonstrating a proven track record in fleet safety, operational continuity, and cost containment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vehicle and material handling equipment maintenance oversight and operations.
  • Experience developing and updating fleet policy and procedures.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of fuel spend platforms.

Work Environment:

  • This is a fast-paced and dynamic operating environment.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting, constantly viewing monitors in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move around. There may be occasions to move or lift light articles.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours during routinely critical times to support the department.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% to conduct fleet inspections, engaging with Field Operations Leaders, and Regional Distribution Centers to help drive initiatives, and build relationships.
  • This role is based in our headquarters office in Dunwoody, GA, and requires a strong in-person presence.
