Our client is a leader in transportation services. They are currently in a growth phase and are expanding their operations in Atlanta, GA.

Job Description

Responsible for daily operations of the fleet, ensuring efficient utilization and availability.Manage the scheduling, maintenance and repairs of the fleet to ensure consistent Schedule and manage regular maintenance and repairs of vehicles to ensure they are in excellent working condition.Compliance of fleet operations with federal, state and local regulations, action safety protocols and conduct regular safety training for drivers.Cost Management of fleet expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and repair costs. Develop strategies to optimize cost-efficiency.Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, and vehicle manufacturers.Utilize fleet management software to track vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and other key metrics. Generate regular reports for management review.Recruit, train, and supervise drivers, ensuring they adhere to company policies and safety standards.Implement eco-friendly practices to reduce the environmental impact of fleet operations.

The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet management or a similar role.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation regulations.Ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.Being fluent in Spanish is a plus.
