As a member of our esteemed team, you will be responsible for planning 60 days and beyond from the completion of production, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Job Summary: As a Production Operations Forward Planner at PRL, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating production activities to ensure efficient and timely project completion. You will work closely with various departments, including production, engineering, and quality, to develop and implement production schedules. Your attention to detail and ability to anticipate potential issues will be critical in meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Long-Term Production Planning: Develop and maintain long-term production plans 60 days and beyond, considering factors such as resource availability, production capacity, and customer requirements.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor production progress and identify any issues impacting schedule adherence. Coordinate with production and engineering to assess capacity constraints and develop strategies to optimize resource utilization.
- Collaboration: Work with the sales team to understand customer demand and incorporate it into production plans.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory and forecast future needs to ensure materials are available for production.
- Strategic Sourcing: Work with procurement teams to identify strategic sourcing opportunities and optimize the supply chain for long-term production needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in long-term production planning and forecasting.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production planning software.
General Requirements:
- Extensive mobility required, some lifting.
- Position requires the ability to concentrate on fine details with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time.
