Summary:

The HR Project Manager position is an integral part of the Human Resources (HR) Department in our efforts to support HR’s strategic goals and the enhancement of NAICA’s workforce. The successful candidate will advance workforce development and management goals through efficient and effective project management practices. In addition, the successful candidate will foster productive collaborative partnerships to deliver positive employee performance, talent acquisition, and staff retention results.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development and facilitation of HR workshops including new hire orientation.
  • Serve as a liaison for carriers and third-party administrators to ensure resources and tools adequately meet the operational and strategic needs of the team.
  • Research/identify trending issues to provide effective solutions and recommendations to enhance the data and process management for HR processes.
  • Analyze and propose recommendations for improvement of HR processes, programs, and tools.
  • Direct high-level projects with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on plans for implementation and measuring results.
  • Engage with appropriate stakeholders to facilitate agreement on objectives and success measures, manage issue tracking and resolution, and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders, steering committees, etc. on program initiatives to facilitate decisions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand their needs and use that knowledge to drive effective prioritization and roadmaps for delivery.
  • Demonstrate self-awareness and accountability while also holding others accountable to deliver on schedule.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and record-keeping for trending personnel and workforce management data.
  • Respond to requests for information made by staff and management with accurate, timely, and comprehensive information.
  • Develop strategies to enhance employee performance and engagement across the organization.
  • Draft and share communications/publications for HR initiatives, events, and workshops in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timely vendor payments to maintain active contracts and agreements for the organization.
  • Manage the electronic storage and maintenance of employee personnel records.
  • Provide support for the enforcement of compliance with all federal, state, local, and organizational policies/requirements (disciplinary cases).
  • Retrieve, sort, and deliver incoming mail & packages according to assigned team members and within established time frames. Dispatch all outgoing mail/packages in accordance with postal regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of HR or project management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Data Analysis and reporting experience. Ability to understand data trends.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and intermediate skills with PowerPoint or other presentation design software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and develop as a self-starter who exercise good judgement and work well independently.
  • Proficient knowledge of state and federal employee benefits, leave laws (HIPPA, COBRA, STD/FMLA/LTD, ADA, W/C, OSHA, ERISA) as well as tax rules for FSA and HSA plans.
  • Excellent organizational, data management and time management skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to travel to various NYC locations.

Schedule Requirements

  • Must be available to work onsite Monday through Friday as needed.
