About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and successful Project Manager 1 (Capital Programs/Reporting) who will be working on improving capital plans, looking at them in a bigger picture, producing annual reports and managing capital improvement programs. The project will emphasize planning, business economics, and program management, not just engineering.

This is a 2+ year, full-time, onsite position located in Washington DC.

Responsibilities

  • Track and manage projects through their lifecycle.
  • Assist with scope, cost, and schedule reconciliation against strategic plans and overall capital program objectives, with the goal of providing the appropriate level of support services to properly steward the numerous business units engaged in capital program project delivery through the funding approvals requirements as defined by the project.
  • Daily support activities for meetings, presentations, document support, staff support, and technical support.
  • Identify, evaluate, prioritize, select, and approve capital initiatives for inclusion in the Capital Program.
  • Evaluate and maintain the capital-level asset inventory.
  • Support Capital Planning with developing graphics, presentations, and reporting material for the capital program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, Business, Economics or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-5 years' experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of best practices as applied to the development of projects; project estimating, planning, scheduling, monitoring, and problem solving.
  • Proficiency with data visualization software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Compensation Details

The salary range listed for this role is $85-115k annually. It is not common for starting salaries to come in at the very top of the range; they usually fall somewhere in the middle. The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate's level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
