Patient Communication Specialist

Location: Smyrna, GA 30082

Position: Patient Communication Specialist (PCS)

Reports To: Patient Communication Manager (PCM)

Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm

Salary: TBD


Atlanta Fibroid Center is an Interventional Radiology medical practice that specializes in the nonsurgical treatment of Uterine Fibroids. We are building our communications and digital platform scheduling team and looking to recruit a Patient Communications Specialist. Are you interested? PCS Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for answering all inbound calls, text, emails and voicemails in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Utilize digital platform, software, databases, scripts, and tools appropriately.
  • Provide customers accurate, satisfactory answers to their inquiries.
  • Educate customers using live and digital platform.
  • Use discretion and independent judgement in handling sensitive or personal health information.
  • Create and update the customers file and maintain comprehensive logs and task history.
  • Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by going the extra mile.
  • Route calls to other team members whenever needed.
  • Follow-up with customer leads, calls, text, emails and voicemails daily.
  • Strive to meet or exceed company metrics while providing excellent consistent customer service.
  • Provide backup coverage to the Benefit Insurance Verification Manager and other duties as assigned.
