Riverside Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Electrician. As an Electrician, you would be responsible for installing and repairing electrical wiring and hardware in buildings.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings
  • Installing conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables
  • Ensuring piping complies with electrical codes
  • Installing circuit breaks and other electrical hardware and connecting wiring to them
  • Connecting electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building
  • Testing electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation
  • Inspecting electrical systems including transformers and circuit breakers to determine whether repairs are needed
  • Replacing conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed
  • Performing other related duties as assigned


Requirements:

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician license required
  • 5+ years’ experience as an electrician, preferably working with IA and SD electrical inspectors
  • Ability to understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Ability to lead large projects
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Must have exceptional driving record and have a valid driver’s license. Part of the responsibilities will be to drive a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
  • Must have ability to lift 50 lbs. as well as know and use proper lifting techniques
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding
