Are you an Estate Administration Paralegal or Legal Assistant with at least two years of probate experience working with North Carolina estates? Have you been searching for a role where you have the support of an established trusts and estates team, with the flexibility and opportunities to make an impact you would have at a small law firm?

Carolina Family Estate Planning is looking for an Estate Administration paralegal to help our clients navigate the probate and trust administration process with compassion and professionalism. If you're a probate paralegal who is passionate about making a difference in clients' lives and are looking for a role that combines stimulating work with rewarding outcomes, we invite you to explore a career with us.

Compensation and Benefits Overview

We are offering a total compensation package of $50,000 to $75,000+. Base salary of $45,000 to $70,000 based on experience. Incentive compensation based on accomplishing your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Measures of Success can increase total earnings to $75,000 or more for an experienced candidate.

Our comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance coverage, short-term and long-term disability coverage, as well as matching contributions to your tax-deferred retirement savings.

We believe in the importance of estate planning and provide comprehensive planning as a benefit for our employees.

This is a hybrid remote/in-office position. We also believe in work-life balance, with flexible paid time off accrued from Day One and 12 paid holidays annually.

A Day in the Life

A typical day for an Estate Administration Paralegal at our firm begins with a strategic review of your key information sources: calendar, task list in the firm's case management software, and your email inbox. You'll use these resources to create and implement action plans to move client matters forward, collaborate with legal assistants for necessary information, review case status and future plans with attorneys, and keep all parties involved in an estate's administration up to date. Throughout the week, you'll discuss client matters, as well as opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, with your fellow team members.

Your mission as a paralegal is to work closely with clients, beneficiaries, other stakeholders, and other team members to keep estates moving forward toward completion. You'll meticulously produce filings and track the status of each estate and trust administration matter, providing support and peace of mind to executors and trustees during their time of need. We work as a team of professionals, all committed to supporting our clients' goals and each other.

Schedule and Location

  • Schedule: Full-time. Our office hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Alternative schedules will be considered.
  • Location: Hybrid, remote, and in-office at our Cary, NC location. (Remote eligibility is subject to an initial in-person onboarding period.)
