As part of the Adelante Mujeres Development team, the Funder Relations Officer champions the health of the organization and the needs of our employees. The Funder Relations Officer designs and leads fundraising practices, policies and procedures that support an employee-oriented, community-centered and culturally responsive organization. The Funder Relations Officer reports to the Director of Development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead cultivation efforts for a portfolio of 85+ major funders - including foundations, corporate partners, individuals, and others. Plan and implement a detailed strategy for year-round relationship building activities.
- Lead the effort to bring on sponsors for fundraising events, secure matches and pre-committed gifts and help to ensure we meet our fundraising goals for the event. Will also support with other event elements.
- Conduct high quality and impactful building tours, presentations, program visits and pitches for funding partners.
- Works closely with Adelante's Board, Senior Management, and Program Leads to prepare them with training, materials, and strategies necessary to manage a strong funder cultivation event.
- Maintain accurate and timely records/contact reports of all interactions with donors utilizing fundraising software (Salesforce).
- Serves as an integral part of the Development & Marketing team that designs Adelante's major fundraising campaigns, providing input on the development of campaign materials, activities, and events.
QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate has many of the following skills and experience:
- A passionate commitment to the goals and mission of Adelante Mujeres and support for immigrant and BIPOC communities
- 3+ years' experience in corporate sales, business development, fundraising or a related field
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Administration, Social Sciences, Nonprofit Management, or relevant area.
- Experience in managing and tracking a large portfolio of prospects or donors.
- Experience in asking for and closing grants/gifts/sales, preferably of $50,000 or more.
- Excellent verbal and written communications, especially adept at email communication and developing and pitching persuasive virtual and in person presentations.
- Organized, self-managed, and independent; able to balance multiple priorities and stakeholders and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Spanish preferred.
- Experience with relationship management system (preferably Salesforce)
- Committed to education, social justice, women's empowerment and the environment

- Ability to complete some work after business hours in evenings and weekends; ability to travel to off-site venues for meetings and networking events is required.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
- Salary range: $66K-68K annual salary, depending on qualifications
- Classification Full-time, Exempt
- Telework: up to 3 days a week
