MyBambu is a financial institution delivering the first all-in-one mobile digital banking solution targeting the Hispanic unbanked and underbanked population. The mission of MyBambu is to promote financial inclusion to the unbanked and underbanked by providing an array of financial solutions delivered via mobile devices. MyBambu participates in E-verify and will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each new hire’s Form I-9 to confirm work authorization. Your Opportunity:
This position is a full-time, in-person position reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer. As the Recruiter Specialist you will be responsible in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top-tier talent to drive our company's growth and success. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand their staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless hiring process. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, engage with diverse candidates, and contribute to building a high-performing team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers to define staffing requirements, develop job descriptions, and establish candidate profiles for various positions within MyBambu.
- Utilize innovative sourcing techniques to identify and attract qualified candidates through job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and other channels.
- Conduct thorough candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate assessments, conducting reference checks, extending job offers and employee onboarding.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement recruitment strategies, initiatives, and best practices to attract and retain top talent.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to enhance recruitment strategies and remain competitive in the market.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and generate recruitment reports to track key metrics and performance indicators.
Skill and Abilities:
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of fintech trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Recruitment Expertise: Proficiency in sourcing and recruiting candidates using various methods such as job boards, social media, networking, and referrals. Ability to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit through interviews, assessments, and reference checks.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for building relationships with candidates, conveying job opportunities effectively, and collaborating with hiring managers and stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Proactive approach to anticipate staffing needs, identify talent gaps, and implement solutions to attract top talent.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners such as recruiting agencies, universities, and industry associations.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and market conditions in the fast-paced fintech industry. Flexibility to adjust recruitment strategies and approaches based on evolving business needs and candidate preferences.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Resourcefulness and creativity to overcome recruitment challenges and barriers. Ability to identify and address issues related to candidate sourcing, engagement, and retention.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborative mindset to work effectively with internal teams, hiring managers, and cross-functional stakeholders. Ability to build consensus, influence decision-making, and drive alignment towards common recruitment goals.
- Adherence to Compliance: Understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices related to recruitment and hiring. Commitment to ethical conduct, diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in all aspects of talent acquisition.
Job Requirements:
- Bilingual – Spanish and English.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, is a plus not required.
- Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or Recruiter, preferably in the fintech, banking, or technology sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in sourcing and recruiting candidates using a variety of methods and tools.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
