Company Overview

EverLine Coatings, a rapidly scaling commercial service brand is looking for an experienced, reliable, and proactive Operations manager to lead our Central Maryland location. Our small but rapidly growing team is in need of a critical field training and support function leader to successfully launch and support our growing operations.

Job brief
As the Operations Manager, you will work directly with the owner to oversee a wide variety of projects for various clients across the central Maryland, manage a crew on the job site, and help the owner manage the projects and operations. This is a salaried, full-time position. Working hours are 40-50 hours per week with some weekends, nights and overtime work required. This is a ground-floor opportunity that will include quick advancement to General Manager, should certain KPIs be met.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations
  • Manage a team and use equipment to perform line painting, asphalt repair, crack filling, sealcoating, power washing & more
  • Communicate job status daily with the Owner and Client
  • Enforce policies and processes
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
  • Oversee training of new employees
  • Evaluate and improve operations
  • Assist owner with the employee assessment process
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)

Requirements and skills
  • Proven experience in operations
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions a plus
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role and able to lift up to 75lbs
  • A driver's license with a clean record (Driver's Abstract is required) and a reliable mode of transportation
  • Ability to work well independently and unsupervised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • An Engineering educational/vocational background is an asset
  • Leadership mindset that will stay true to the CORE values of EverLine
