Requirements for a Pastoral Care Coordinator:
- Masters of Divinity Degree.
- Clinical pastoral education and experience preferred.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Ordained or eligible to be ordained.
Responsibilities for a Pastoral Care Coordinator:
- Conducts Sunday worship service.
- Coordinates and conducts special worship services throughout the year.
- Conducts prayer and study groups for Members.
- Assesses and meets the spiritual needs of Residents at Linden Knoll.
- Conducts memorial or funeral home services when requested by family.
- Provides individual pastoral care with Members and families at times of crisis, and upon request.
- Documents in-house spiritual care visits.
- Assists Members in participating in appropriate worship services within facility or at area churches.
- Acts as liaison between the FH and area churches and clergy to provide additional pastoral care as requested by Members.
- Participates in/lead staff education opportunities as appropriate.
- Participates in task forces and committees as assigned and/or appropriate.
- Attends and participates in continuing education programs designed to keep abreast of changes in profession as scheduled or directed.
- Develops and maintains a good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel to assure that the needs of Members are met.
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor or by Administration as directed.
