General Summary:

Daily Thermetrics is seeking Purchasing Coordinator to join our rapidly growing procurement and production team. The Purchasing staff will be responsible sourcing and purchasing products and/or services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the purchasing process from start to finish, working with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet QA Requirements, customer demands, and tight shipping goals.

Objectives of this role:

  • Evaluating suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria,
  • Preparing RFQ’s, RFP’s, and purchase orders
  • Provide support to sales by obtaining pricing from suppliers for their RFQ’s.
  • Read and understand technical drawings, schematics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production and operations to ensure purchasing meets business needs.
  • Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.
  • Negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company
  • Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors, missed deliveries
  • Expedite shipments from suppliers.
  • Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
  • Work with accounting to resolve Supplier invoicing discrepancies.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or related field is preferred
  • 1-3 years of previous experience in procurement or purchasing, required
  • Working knowledge of how purchasing and procurement
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent technical communication skills
  • Organized & detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Self- driven, Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage efficiently

Other:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer other than current employer
  • Must be fluent in English, any other language skills are beneficial
  • This is primarily a sedentary position, but does require the physical ability to work in a busy shop environment including sitting, standing, lifting/moving up to 20 pounds, infrequently.
