Position Summary

Advance Community Health is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Epic Support Specialist to join our ambitious IT (Information Technology) team and help us deliver top-tier training and support. The Epic Support Specialist will work closely with the Advance Community Health clinical leadership and IT Support teams and will participate in maintaining and enhancing our instance of Epic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Epic Support Specialist will establish collaborative partnerships with team members across various departments within Advance Community Health and external partners, as needed, to support our user and patient communities. The role will be primarily responsible for delivering Epic support, training, and implementation deliverables to our users.
  • Provides daily support of Epic applications such as troubleshooting, coaching, and consulting, as needed. Engages with other technical resources, both internal and external, as needed. Communicates with users throughout the support process to keep them informed of status, through resolution.
  • Responsible for collaborative development of training curriculum and plans that ensure that staff receive the initial and ongoing training needed to use Epic efficiently, including tip sheets.
  • Supports the successful implementation of new department builds, existing clinics, and departments.
  • As a key member of the organization’s IT Services team, you will focus on recommending, standardizing and enhancing workflows and processes.
  • Maintains and enhances the Epic build specific to the organization. This may include, but not be limited to, creating new Epic users, provider records, preference lists, scheduling templates (Cadence & Prelude), and other modules as needed.
  • Provide remote and elbow support to all staff members, both clinical and non-clinical.
  • Attend and present at meetings, as required.

Other Duties Assigned

  • Will provide backup support to the IT Specialists in end-user support as needed.
  • Provide feedback and coaching on the progress of users.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of an associate degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, business, or equivalent experience required.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of Epic and health center operations.
  • 3 years of Epic Principal or Credentialed Trainer Experience, including lesson planning, development, and implementation.
  • Able to demonstrate proficiency within the Epic environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office software programs, i.e., Excel, Word, Power Point. and Outlook.

Monday – Friday, 8:00an – 5:00pm with flexibility (No Remote Option at this time)
8 hours per day excluding breaks.
