Job Summary

Cellipont Bioservices is growing, and we are looking for a Facilities Engineering Intern, who believes in the potential to bridge client's discoveries to patient cures and who wants to challenge the status quo to take Cellipont and its clients to the next level.

The Facilities Engineering Internship role is a great position for people looking to become an engineer but not exactly sure what field to go in. Within this role, you will gain experience with electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, Process/Chemical Engineering, Facilities engineering, as well as pharmaceutical engineering. You will be supporting activities of a new "brown field" Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facility. The Facilities Engineering Intern will need to be dynamic and willing to learn new items.

This will be a fast-paced position with lots of real-world experience. The Facilities Engineering Intern will need to be capable of time management, project organization, and good communication skills. This is NOT a position for someone who just wants to sit at a computer or desk all day. This will be a position that is constantly moving and always changing. This is a great real-world experience for anyone up to the challenge.

The role will give deep insight into what it is like to work in pharmaceutical manufacturing but more importantly, the dynamic atmosphere of a small biotech growing into a new facility. It will be expected for the intern to ask questions, get their "hands dirty" and participate in real-world support and not just sit behind a desk. That being said of course there will be sitting behind the desk at times to help support project deliverables.

The Role

  • Learn and support equipment lifecycle within pharmaceutical and facilities equipment including but not limited to:
    • Equipment Installation
    • Support of Vendor activities
    • Operations Computer System setup and configuration
    • Equipment Commissioning and Qualification
    • Equipment Onboarding
  • Directly work within Supply Chain and Warehouse management to support the onboarding of systems
  • Get firsthand experience supporting troubleshooting of pharmaceutical and facility equipment
  • Utilize project management skills to identify time management and resourcing
  • Help support writing GMP documentation to support the facility buildout
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance and Validation in efforts to complete what is needed for successful qualification of systems.
  • Organize and create structure within documentation and equipment for use for operational teams such as manufacturing, process development, and quality control.
  • Learn to work with a dynamic team to support operations directly under your scope but also under other personnel positions to get a pharmaceutical company up and running.
  • Use problem-solving and resources to come up with novel solutions.
  • Learn the inner workings of what is needed to get a pharmaceutical company up and running
  • Assist in monitoring equipment performance and conducting inspections,
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to maintain schedules.
  • Documentation and reporting to support regulatory compliance and activities.

The Candidate

  • High School Degree minimum and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably but not limited to automation, electrical, chemical, and mechanical), information technology, science, or related field)
  • Self-sufficient, highly motivated, and takes direction well
  • Open to learning new things with problem-solving skills
  • Strategic thinker and confident in asking questions as needed
  • Familiar with CDMO environment preferred
